Winter Shadows







last night I saw you
once more walking hand in hand
mere winter shadows

we crossed barren sand
you holding my hand so tight
praying dawn comes not

light takes you away
my eyes weep still in a dream
your touch lingers still

    Thank you both for reading my poem. I am so full of sadness at the loss of my husband it is hard to write of anything happy. Maybe some day this will pass.
