Haven's Space
I wonder if here
lies the doorway to heaven
where I will find you
waiting for me as ever
our souls one again
is this our heaven
will the lord be there
and angles singing so sweet
I long to be there
in your arms once more
and your kisses wipe my tears
walking together

Alone, I Wait
love abandoned me
my heart torn rented apart
leaving my cold soul
pain and sorrow mine
will fill what life I have left
till you come for me

In the Dark Of Night
it makes no sense now
not to my mind nor my heart
how life comes and goes.
a soft sigh deep in the night
what was is no more
hearts should be stronger
love should hold all of it tight
that we may hold on

Bones
oh she said so evenly
so without feeling
those ashes are just bones
it's not him you know
it doesn't really matter
where you might put them.
these bones, these cold bones
all that I have left of him
he that was my life.

Our Mighty Oak
as I leave my home for the last time
I shall take with me but memories.
our little blue house once filled with
the laughter of children. now silent,
empty only ghosts walk there.. I leave
behind my heart and my love and my tears.
he is gone now and the house is no longer
alive.as I hold him tight within my heart,
everything we once loved rests there too.
passing years have fled
oak trees roots so deep and wide
ghosts now walk my home

Little Blue Bird House
the last time I was there
looking out over our flower filled yard,
I knew it would be my last visit.
there high on a metal pole was our little blue bird house
hung so many years ago and filled each spring with a nest.
sweet musical sounds came softly from with in,
as each new nest filled with life.
deep within my heart I wished that you were with me once more
holding my hand as you whistle a soft melody answered by a sweet refrain.
But now as I leave forever, I wonder will some else love this tiny blue
house as much as we did.

An Heirloom So Sweet
dreams of you last night
lush lavender warms my shin
your perfume lingers
that scent weaves slowly
shimmering dark shadows move
melding into me
lavender so strong
takes me in the nights dark heat
caught within my sheets
dawn finds my skin hot
the need of you still remains
I slick with your scent
this morning brings me
once more to your dresser top
the heirlooms you bought
bottles of perfume
pale liquid of lavender
your heirlooms so sweet
love come back once more to me
lavender
sweet

Autumn Sadness
fresh smell of new hay
brings back whiffs of summers heat
wind howls at my soul
splendor autumn
creeps slowly into my heart
fall comes without you

His Aura Remains
his aura remained
a curious radiant glow
sparkling dew drops
wispy movements
fills the nights depths
the soil that holds him fast
swayed in earths tides
the tides of all men
dreams springs past sorrow
on which his aura rode
All The Smiles He Gave
distract me I plead
from sorrows loss and cruel pain
from this endless grief
all the hurtful dreams
that I may see what traps me
all the smiles he gave.

Love's Lement
Loves Lament
our bond was painless
living each day together
some grumbles were heard
gone by winters freeze
your sweet scent lingers here still
sheets still warm with you
lost now our hopes dreams
remains but cold memories
summers heat no more
I would breath you in
lock you deep beneath my eyes
fast holding your soul
cry cry the lament
you walk no more in my heart
leaving me alone
life's trials came and went
you stayed by my side always
even unto death

his garden
planted with springs gifts
tenderly
nursed by him
green shoots came forth aplenty
the promise to late
Maggie
maggie a small red sheparerd
was his shadow in life
he lead she followed.
her sweet brown eyes
watched every move he made
always by his side.
maggie thought she was a cat
she sat on our laps
and slept on our bed.
each night he returned from work
she lay down at his feet
waiting for a good rub.
winter found her
before the fireplace
her deep brown eyes unknowable.
maggie loved snow
romping through drifts
with a black nose cold, eyes bright.
she lived for many years
and when it was time
he took care of it.
we never spoke of it again
he, moving a little slower
was never the same
his little shadow
guard dog, loving pet
gone forever
he too now is gone
from a the blue house we shared
I miss them both.
